What We Do…

The Dad’s Club meets once a month to plan activities and projects. Some of the specific projects we have coming up this year are the following.

· Jane Addams Dad’s Club Halloween Float

We have a student contest for float design ideas. We construct and decorate the float in small and large groups. Be sure have your family be a part of the Halloween Parade by walking with our float and support our school and community.

· Fundraiser

The Dad’s Club organizes one fundraiser during the school year. At the beginning of the year this committee is formed and determines what the fundraiser will be. The money raised helps support the Dad’s Club events, our baseball program, and special school purchases. Some of these purchases have been new folding chairs for the school, laptop computers for the classrooms, and the school’s trophy case.

· Family Sports Night

This is an evening of fun hosted by our Dad’s Club, for all Jane Addams families. The evening includes many athletic challenges including golf, basketball, and football. Refreshments are also served to keep our athletes energized!

· Dad’s Club Baseball/Softball

Our baseball organization is a big part of dad’s club with our fathers taking care of the field, organizing teams, ordering uniforms, and coaching our kids. The season ends with a citywide pool party.
